I see that @prettymuchbryce got the sprites' appearance to change based on equipped items. Is this something that the sprites are already setup for? Or would I need to modify them to get that functionality?
Also, will you be adding the Sci-fi pack to the Mega pack or doing a 16-bit Scifi & Fantasy bundle?

I'm unfamiliar with that user. You would have to manually edit your sprites. However, all the sprites have a uniform "skeletal" structure making swapping items and clothes very easy to manually do.
...Except the LoFi sets, which have no "skeleton" for 2handed weapons.

I'm using the 16 bit sci fi, and many of the "fighting creatures" sprites have different weapons set ups. Some don't have it (like animals, non humanoid aliens, civilians etc.), but it does not make sense to have weapon on most of them anyway. Check the third preview on oryxdesignlab.com/product-sprites/16-bit-sci-fi-sprite-set , you can see some have a different weapons. There are even basic naked humans that @prettymuchbryce used in his gifs.
